WCAG 3 will use a new color contrast method called APCA (Advanced Perceptual Contrast Algorithm).

As screen reader users point out how annoying the 🚩 meme is, I see others make the tired argument that screen readers need to update their code.

Not that folks could maybe use fewer flags.

Screen readers are installed software. Users would need to upgrade. Many cannot.

New websites are built on today's technology and specs. In five years there WILL be new code standards. Soooo, you do need to re-build your site occasionally. It's not that they did a bad job 12 years ago, things just change a lot in this biz. May be a real example.
