@ARGAtheropodfan The Deinonychus-Tenonto remains are the reason the croc/komodo behavioral comparison exists. I’ll include a link below.
But those other examples you just gave are solid counterpoints.

Brian Roach and Daniel Brinkman wrote the paper. They get pretty in depth about it.
Others have since pushed back against it but it definitely suggests behavior more similar to crocs than wolves. But it’s fair to say we shouldn’t say they were exactly like one or the other.

@MasonThe_Artist It’s heavily implied, just in a very unwieldy (dare I say cowardly?) way
That being said, I think people are rushing a little too quickly to give Jax female pronouns. We have no idea what he saw himself as or would’ve wanted to be called.
@ARGAtheropodfan I agree but the specific nature of the cannibalism we’ve observed in Deinonychus points to more croc-like social dynamics than mammalian
Sure, but the instance of cannibalism in Deinonychus was, to my understanding, interpreted as having occurred during a feeding frenzy, which is something you see in non-pack-animals like crocs and komodo dragons, not wolves and lions.
And ultimately, dromaeosaurs are much closer to crocodiles than mammalian carnivores.
It’s possible that some type of mammal-style conflict happened, but I’d say that’s a bigger leap than the croc-style frenzy theory
@NatSciChannel It’s a cool design but breaks immersion if included in any park since, like Distortus, it’s an inhumane abomination.
Makes sense to include in a research facility-themed park but not really anywhere else
@moovsny Shame…probably too early to tell but it seems like they’re only adapting that panel superficially. All of the gravity of the original image (i.e. Peter’s destroyed state) is gone
@Variety I feel like this tweet is burying the lead.
The “I never felt central” quote is him describing why he feels SNL does not need him.
He’s basically just saying his lack of importance to the cast made him feel less guilty about leaving, not that it made him want to leave.
