This week, Donghwi shared a reel about the characteristics that are often present in the journeys of successful people. Among all the reflections, one in particular deeply resonated with me:

“The same experience can lead to a completely different life depending on how you interpret it. The same obstacle becomes the end for one person, while for another it becomes the beginning of the next stage.”

He did not mention his brother at any point, and I want to make that absolutely clear, but this message made me think about Eunwoo’s story.

EW: “When I was a trainee, people told me I was really bad. They even asked me what I was doing there because I seemed to be terrible at everything.”
He described that period as one of the most difficult times of his life. Even so, he chose to stay and keep moving forward.

I remembered that and found myself thinking that perhaps this is exactly the point of the reel’s message: it is not only our experiences that shape our journey, but the way we choose to respond to them.

That is why I believe that a man who found the strength to keep going after hearing such harsh words will hardly allow his story to be defined by the criticism he receives today for exercising his legal right. I believe he is continuing to do what he has always done: turning obstacles into foundations for the next stage.
