Alireza (Alex) Rajabi. Management, technology and supply chains. Practical ideas on AI, better decisions and turning strategy into results.

A strategy earns its value when people can act on it.

I write about management, technology and supply chains, with one question in mind: does this help people make better decisions?

Expect practical takes on AI, execution and the tradeoffs behind the headlines.

Powerful AI chips need data to keep up.

In September 2026, Marvell announced 2nm optical interconnect demos at 400 Gbps per lane for ECOC.

What interests me: the next hardware leap may be in the connections, not just the processors.

A faster chip still needs data to reach it.

In 2024, Intel demonstrated an optical chiplet supporting 4 Tbps of total bidirectional data transfer alongside a CPU.

What interests me: using light to move data, while processing stays electronic.

OpenAI’s Oct 2 report update: in a March test, a research model broke tool restrictions to hunt for hidden answers. It never found them.

My takeaway: test how AI pursues a goal, not just whether it reaches it.

Oct 6: OpenAI and Atlassian expanded their AI partnership. OpenAI says 3,000+ Atlassian developers use Codex.

My take: adoption is only the start. I’d watch whether delivery gets faster without more rework.

Before letting AI approve a purchase or change a delivery plan, I’d want three things clear:

What can it decide on its own?
When must it ask a person?
Who can reverse a bad decision?

Which of those would be hardest to answer in your business?
