Tools I think are great but people may have a second thoughts to use in production app:
1- Vite
2- Jotai (state management for React)
3- Svelte (hard to convince company for good reason :) )
4- postCSS only instead of the preprocessors
For clarification, I am still not comfortable using vite as a build tool but only for development, so my solution is to use webpack for build and vite just for the dev server and it works great so far
Vite is going to be the next dominant build tool, I'm still skeptical about the DX of turbopack and it's availability but turbopack is promising for a very big projects which is not the case for most cases.
@rauchg@nextjs I understand that you are making it convenient for as many people as you can, But flexibility is something that I personally consider for mid to big projects because it's hard to go back and change build tool later, community size around a tool matters. I hope I can switch to TP
I write it here to not forget, In a well-known company with more than thousands of employees, I got rejected in the offer call since they were not sync with a team before set the meeting
I know honestly is the best policy and I followed it literally in a sense that sometimes comes off weird, but I think unfortunately technical interviewers are not ready for that
#technical_interview Is broken in many ways, it depends on the interviewer's train of thought and also preferences in many ways, and also live coding which can cause performance anxiety. I failed too many for just being anxious and also aced them and still got rejected🧵
sometimes, you face questions that could be learned in a matter of an hour, these questions are not worth asking and only work as showoff if you ask me,
@alexander_akait@vercel Vercel is lucky to have you.
Saw your works and response on github and we also talked about an issue.
You are one of the nicest guy on the community that I know. You are pure work and talent without any show off.
Good luck on your new job
Ryan covered materials that I couldn’t find anywhere else. He also covers fundamentals so there would not be any confusion. Watching his course is enjoyable.
