Missing Pennsylvania Woman May Have Fallen In 30-Foot Sinkhole

Authorities are searching for Elizabeth Pollard, 64, who vanished Monday evening while looking for her cat, Pepper. A 30-foot-deep sinkhole in Unity Township, Pennsylvania may have formed as she walked nearby.

Pollard’s 5-year-old granddaughter was found in a car about 20 feet away. Around 100 people are assisting in the rescue effort in Unity Township. Officials believe old coal mines in the area may have contributed to the sinkhole.
