A 13 years old Sohana Sharma, a minor Hindu girl from Sindh, Pakistan is crying, holding and kissing the hands of her father and saying "papa, papa take me home with you".

Whenever Hindu girls state in favour of their parents, Pakistani courts send them to a shelter home instead. In this so-called safe house they are pressurized to marry their abductor and convert to Islam.

(Remember, Sohana Sharma was abducted in 2023, in the same way just like Diya, Jiya in 2025)

AAC Delegation Meets Maulana Qazi Nisar, Seeks Support for Detained Activists

A five-member delegation of the Awami Action Committee (AAC) Gilgit-Baltistan met today with Maulana Qazi Nisar, the Amir of Ahl-e-Sunnat Wal Jamaat for Gilgit-Baltistan and Kohistan, to discuss the prevailing political situation in the region and the detention of AAC leaders and activists.

During the meeting, AAC representatives briefed Maulana Qazi Nisar on recent developments, including the arrests of key committee members under what they described as unjust and politically motivated charges. The delegation urged religious and political leaders to raise their voices in support of the detainees and condemn the suppression of peaceful political activity.

Maulana Qazi Nisar expressed full solidarity with the detained AAC members, stating:
"We stood by Ehsan Ali and his companions in the past, and we continue to stand with them today. We had earlier demanded their immediate release through public statements, and we will continue to do so with the same commitment."

He emphasized the need for unity among the people of Gilgit-Baltistan, calling on citizens to rise above sectarian, linguistic, and regional differences and work together as a cohesive nation. He underscored that a collective, united struggle is essential for securing the rights, peace, and prosperity of the region.

The AAC delegation thanked Maulana Qazi Nisar for his continued support and principled stance. They expressed hope that Ahl-e-Sunnat Wal Jamaat would continue to stand shoulder to shoulder with the Awami Action Committee in the pursuit of justice, human rights, and regional development.
