@HooDooJoe @KosSamaras 1) people are singled out and experience racism for identifying as Aboriginal, even if they don't have dark skin. I saw plenty of examples growing up. Racists think they can do whatever they like to Aboriginal people - as they don't consider them equals.

Apparently cashless welfare cards “solves” violence in communities so politicians advocating for them are saving lives…I was just told..yet again.
Well a shame the evidence doesn’t support that; with victims unable to leave violent relationships due to financial abuse being a core feature of perpetrator control.
So further limiting access to funds is supposed to help with that?

This is the best violence prevention we can come up with?

I’m stolen generation, Jacinta Price knows nothing of my life, nor does she know anything about the lives of the others institutionalised alongside me. I try to not dwell on the past, and I’ve managed to build a future regardless, that said, Jacinta Price by saying that colonisation had no lasting impacts on Indigenous people, because we got running water, has erased our suffering to further her political agenda. Out of respect for the deceased, I won’t go into detail about those of my institutional family who committed suicide because they could no longer live with the personal impacts of sexual and physical abuse by employees in the system. Enough said 🙏
