@_mjpsmith Skills are important but so is fit. The ceo and other members of the exec team need to be able to work together. Each c role not only needs to lead their department, they need to have the awareness and ability to weigh in on other departments' (finance, people, ops) plans.

@asmartbear @calcsam And bc sales = 1:1 and marketing= 1:many, those two need to be in lockstep. Sharing info, mining customer convos to get hints for how to understand and communicate the values and using it all to find new leads
