@DominicFarrell Imagine being appointed CEO of a major corporation. The company is facing significant challenges, you are there to turn it around. After a couple of weeks, you tell the Board you are going on holiday.
@ShepherdWales EU citizens have been able to quickly come through e gates at UK airports for years now. So why can’t the EU organise a comparable system? It rather points to their failings as an organisation.
@JeremyClarkson For some years, EU passport holders have come straight through e gates into the UK. Surely the issue is the inability of the EU to sort the technology, which rather points to some of the problems the EU has.
John Healey shadowed me for over 4 years. While i didn’t agree with everything he did i know he tried his best and had the interests of the Armed Forces at his heart. i know he loved the job and it will have not been easy to resign. His loyalty to his Party and PM was not reciprocated by them when it mattered and i think he was left with no choice. i wish him the very best. His resignation was one of principle.
As part of your listening exercise, @wesstreeting, could you ask yourself why you voted for the Family Farm Tax a whopping SIX times? 🤯

Yesterday Andy Burnham put 'reindustrialisation' at the heart of his pitch to be Labour leader.
Today Ed Miliband will whip his MPs to vote to shut down the North Sea. The greatest act of industrial self-harm in a generation.
Will Andy stand up for British workers or not?
@ArchRose90@JamesCleverly “We can’t be selective”.
Really? I’m sorry Chris, I agree with much that you post. But in this particular instance, I think you are on the wrong side of the moral argument.
Are Kamala Harris and Andy Burnham unique in coming across filming crews whilst out jogging?
I've been trotting around all day, flicking my mane and no-one has taken a blind bit of notice.
The Russians want Ukraine’s permission to hold their parade – so they can safely take to the square for an hour once a year, and then go back to killing *our* people and waging war. The Russians are already talking about strikes after May 9. A strange and certainly twisted logic from the Russian leadership.
There are also messages from some states close to Russia that their representatives intend to be in Moscow. An odd desire at a time like this. We do not recommend it.
On the eve of the poll, reflecting on 4 years serving as a Conservative Councillor in #Balham—whatever tomorrow brings, it’s been a real honour to stand up for residents and get things done. A few of my favourites… @TeamLondonUK
