Have we just been seduced by a couple of jaw dropping victories by Sri Lanka & Pakistan, or is it time for more ODI tri-series, like yesteryear? Somehow it all feels a bit more interesting #PAKvENG

[Alison Mitchell @AlisonMitchell]

Simply sensation from Shadab. Haris a hero for Pakistan too. England crushed - again. #PakvEng

[Alison Mitchell @AlisonMitchell]

This is an insane game of cricket! Shadab 🤯

[Alison Mitchell @AlisonMitchell]

DRS saves the day - for the moment - wow. Shadab had no idea he hit it! Any other circumstance other than last wicket he would have walked with no review. #PakvEng

[Alison Mitchell @AlisonMitchell]

Staggering stuff from Harry Brook - what have we just seen?! Fastest EVER double hundred in ODIs that’s what. Array of shots out of this world 🤯🤩

Anyone who witnessed Temba Bavuma’s first Test century will remember the wave of emotion around Newlands. By his fifth, a career best, he’s a leader by name as well as deed. Loved this in depth chat with him just before SA became World Test Champions: https://t.co/JvGHeCmI1Q

@ShaunaDale18 😂 There is very little questioning of the pink ball in Aus now, because it’s become the norm. I’m interested in finding some studies as to the visibility of it though, for both players and spectators.

A little thing on bad light and the pink ball… Something I’ve been saying for a while. Full reel 👉🏼 https://t.co/AFLBXNIMMN

You always hope players do well. Cummins cites Nic Maddinson as having “shown good form” but not a huge body of work behind a player whose last FC game was March 2025 due to having chemo. A story of recovery & resilience, and now a first Test for him since 2016. #SAvAus

Well this is a bit of a thrill - the Bramble Bank cricket match I did with brilliant producer Eliza Lomas has been chosen as a Pick of the Week - the best bits of audio from across the BBC! Massive credit to Eliza for pulling it together 🙌🏼https://t.co/SG4psDGdSM

@BBCEssexSport @bbctms Great words Dick. Incredible dedication to the game over all those years. And thank you for always being so welcoming and encouraging to a young 5 live reporter in the Chelmsford commentary box.

[Alison Mitchell @AlisonMitchell]

@JackRuleLD @Cricket_Debs Totally. I just think increase the R&D on the pink ball and move towards playing with it as standard. If not, accept that bad light is going to continue to be an issue in FC & Test cricket when floodlights start to come on. Could decree Sept only.. not sure that’s ideal either.

[Alison Mitchell @AlisonMitchell]

Just a reflection on the end of the Northants game yesterday…. Pink ball.

Would put an end to all issues of bad light stopping play. Would players not all eventually adapt?

[Alison Mitchell @AlisonMitchell]

@Cricket_Debs Which brand of pink ball is used out of interest?

@HuntyCaller Amazing John - fully behind you!
