So glad we managed to find a use for our old meds trolley that I couldn’t bring myself to get rid of when Omnicell landed. Lockable storage for our new technology. It’s the little things 😂 #Upcycle#CoombehavenWard
1️⃣ in 1️⃣0️⃣0️⃣ people live with schizophrenia, yet the stigma surrounding the condition remains stubbornly high.

Yep, landlord initially favoured a dual-income couple over me...a single mum of 2, teacher, had to find a place in a week...luckily the 'reliable' DINKy dropped out two days later...crawled back to me...felt like telling them to shove it...stayed 2 and half years.
'Sharing a child's story with colleagues improves the child's behaviour, not because the child changes, but because the adults change. They say hello in the corridor, ask about their world, and connect. The impact can be incredible.' Paul Dix

Common thread I see from teachers who leave the profession on teacher holidays - when you have normal working patterns, flexibility, reasonable deadlines, workload you can manage and less scrutiny, it feels like you don’t need those holidays like you once did. Meanwhile, ppl who have never been in teaching think the holidays are and should be the answer to every negative aspect of the job.
@NurseStandard Nursing Associate Foundation degree apprenticeship certainly not diluted academic route plus high expectations for clinical practice..high focus on research..extra 18 months top up to gain RMN band 5...apparently easier than FDNA! relevant work and evidence based...
@Bop41@alisonleary1 Yes, I'm one of those b4 RNAs, having completed an apprenticeship...hoping to do the top up RMN apprenticeship. Very high academic and clinical skill acquisition is expected, on a par with and if not higher standard than my previous degrees...now 10 yrs old... no student debt...
@Bop41@alisonleary1 Prefer learning on the job...did PGCE after a degree...thrown head first into job was ill prepared for...lasted 16 yrs as teacher, mainly special needs before burnout...Nursing seems better by contrast...
@alisonleary1@Bop41 It will take 18 months...have an interview next week...pretty guaranteed, if I get through interview...don't know about RN pg dip...can't afford self-funded course. This is the best option for me.
Take a deep breath and remember: Research reveals a powerful link between the rhythm of our breathing and memory recall. Inhalation, especially through the nose, can enhance cognitive function, offering exciting possibilities for future therapeutic interventions.

Maslow's hierarchy of needs is one of our best known/best loved models in leadership. Yet Maslow never presented it as a pyramid or hierarchy. @dhambeukers has redrawn it as circles. I like the addition of a 6th component: our need to be part of & protect the bigger system, whether it's our community or the planet https://t.co/4kkdBuoiMZ
