🌍 Exciting News from the WIRE-SA Initiative! 🌍

We are thrilled to announce the launch of the Writing for Research Excellence for South African Academics (WIRE-SA) program, which kicked off in April 2024! This impactful program is designed to support 10 early-career academics from historically disadvantaged institutions, including SMU, UFH, CPUT, and WSU, in advancing their academic writing skills and achieving publication in leading journals.

The 2-year program is generously funded by an international agency, with Professor L. Odell and Professor A.V. September as Principal and Co-Principal Investigators. Our esteemed university partners include the Open University, University of Cape Town, and Nottingham Trent Universit, University of Fort Hare and the University of Stirling

In October, we held our first in-person workshop, where three guest editors from renowned international and national journals guided our participants on all aspects of academic writing and publication.

As a strategic partner, HPALS is proud to be part of this journey. It takes one individual to make a difference, but a dedicated team to create lasting change and drive impact into the future sais professor September from HPALS, UCT

We're working alongside incredible partners from UCT, UFH, WSU, SMU, and UofS to empower the next generation of leaders in Health Sciences. Our mission? To train 10 academics from UFH, WSU, and SMU to earn their PhDs, building institutional capacity and driving growth in the field. 🎓
