@kieronrowley That’s tough 🙏 I don’t have books or theology but as a grandmother who has supported a daughter and son in law through the funerals of a still- born and a 2 1/2 hr old through - what is needed from the officiant is gentleness and authenticity. Look after yourself through this 🙏

I’ve always found public extempore prayer challenging -
It was a privilege to be asked to offer a prayer before the Last Ceremony at the Menin gate tonight - and humbling the comments I received afterwards.🙏
