I think govt hiring STARs + #wkdev training and placing jobseekers into local / state government and gov-funded roles +gov leveraging procurement for STARs like they do SWMBE are dominoes that will trigger a contagion.
@bluemeridianp@CleanSlate_Init@ceoworks@jfftweets I found the number of STARs (70M) and justice-involved (70M) to be an interesting coincidence. Both are so much more common than we acknowledge, and yet we hold others to a standard that the data often does not support.

We cannot credibly blame a tight labor market when we are actively filtering out candidates who are skilled for the job from consideration. Hiring STARs not only diversifies our workplaces, it expands our labor pool!
@art_bilger I'm so pleased to see corporate leaders leaning in to the value prop of skills-based hiring and upskilling @art_bilger. Employers are truly the long pole in the tent of the #wkdev system. Investing in talent returns an ROI to them, but pays dividends to us all in perpetuity.
