Outrage as hundreds of people descended on protected wildlife ponds at Hampstead Heath in London during the hot weather. No respect or care for the native wildlife. 😡

I’m with Rupert and Caroline. Very important the Greens don’t stand. A vote Green will be a vote for Reform and it will rightly haunt them. Conversely standing down could be done with leverage for PR. Andy B ( and the country) will visibly owe them. Do the right thing Zac.
So Burnham arrives, sticks with Reeves policies, continues the big state/anti small business agenda, sticks his head in the sand about Brexit, and is far less qualified on the world stage but more charismatic for Labour members. What fundamentally changes? Literally nothing. 🤷🏻♂️
🚨 BBC News: Farage: “I bought the £1.4m house with my I’m a Celeb money.”
Corporate accounts show the fee was still in the company after the purchase.
Same week he’s under inquiry for the £5m Thai crypto Brexit bung.
The stories keep changing but the smell doesn’t.
As other's have pointed out, this is a brilliant campaign video. But it's a pretty damning indictment of our current politics that Andy Burnham is one of the few senior politicians who can pull this off authentically.
This Burnham campaign video deserves a retweet (and many more). Take a look at the vast (shady) money and professional media operation behind Reform. It’s going to be an existential battle.Wherever you stand on the Labour leadership, this seat must be won.
Exclusive: In his first sit-down, in-depth TV interview @AndyBurnhamGM tells me about his plans to “build a new Britain”.

Fergal is correct.
Despite a guaranteed return of £22BN in profits by 2030 - private water companies continue to use our rivers as sewage pipes and the sea as a cesspit for sewage.
It’s cheaper & therefore more profitable than spending on infrastructure.
Public ownership now.
I am a Green Party member and agree 100% with both @CarolineLucas and @labourlewis . A Reform win is too dark to contemplate as this would create a path to an election victory.
Our message to Clive is stop telling Greens what to do, and leave Labour if you're not happy with them
We're here to replace Labour not help one side of their internal factional fighting
I'm a Green Party member and will be campaigning for a council by-election candidate this weekend.
But, if I was in Manchester, I would be campaigning for Burnham. Stopping Reform matters far more than party politics.
Andy Burnham is not perfect, but if the Greens split the vote....
Reform will gain a seat.
Greens may gain a Manchester Mayor.
Reform will will the next election.
The Greens will never be forgiven.
As a Green Party member I agree 100% with Caroline Lucas. If the Greens were to facilitate a Reform victory this would be unforgivable. The threat to our whole way of life, to human rights, to justice and decency are under threat. Greens need to step back.
Any political project that intends to defeat Reform must have at its core:
1. Redistribution of the wealth in this country via a fairer tax system, inc wealth tax
2. Redistribution of power via a fairer electoral system at the very least.
Is this on offer in Labour contest?
I think @TheGreenParty should not put up a candidate in Makerfield but should say they support Burnham
It is absolutely crucial that Reform do not win
Burnham already supports Proportional Representation. He should make a pledge to the Greens to pursue this as prime minister
As a Green party member I could not disagree more. If the Greens bury Labour and enable Reform to win the seat, it will be unforgivable. Burnham is the only Labour politician who supports PR and would work with the Greens, and he is more likely to become PM than Zack.
@earthygirl011 Caroline Lucas is wonderful but not perfect, nor is she always correct. The Greens come to bury Labour not to praise its cosmetic makeover.
🚨 NEW: Former Green Party Leader Caroline Lucas says she hopes the Greens will “put country before party” and not campaign against Andy Burnham in the Makerfield by-election
