I’m on here for football and pretty much football only. Go Cougs! Go Devils when they’re not playing BYU. Go Vols.
Ok I’m here for #ldsx too. I ❤️ Jesus
We are grateful to know that there are two methods of gaining needed knowledge. There is no ultimate conflict between knowledge gained by these different methods because God, our omnipotent Eternal Father, knows all truth and beckons us to learn by them both.
@BoiseState4Life Hold strong. I wouldn’t wish fertility issues on my worst enemy. I now realize that my fulfillment of that promise and commandment will look different for a short moment…
You are loved by all the fellow travelers trudging quietly.
Teachers: Please remove the disruptive student so others can learn.
Admin: Everyone needs seat time, so we sent him back after a restorative conversation.
Teachers: Johnny has only been here 5 days this semester. He’s going to fail with a 20.
Admin: Seat time doesn’t matter. Just give him a 70. We don’t want him to drop out.
Teachers: We have to stop passing students along. I have students on wildly different levels.
Admin: It’s okay, you can differentiate.
Teachers: It’s impossible to differentiate for 30 kids across 10 levels. Can you come show me how?
Admin: (After a 10-minute walk-through) Email: Try discovery-based learning and really focus on student discourse. Also your objective was not written on the board.
Admin: We have a lot of open positions on campus. Please be prepared to cover classes during your conference period if we can’t find long term subs. Also, make sure your lesson plans are uploaded, 504/Sped accommodations are documented, parent contact logs are updated, and grades are posted in a timely manner.
Schools: We don’t know why there is a teacher shortage.
Eric Moussambani Malonga, better known as “Eric the Eel,” captured global attention at the 2000 Sydney Olympics, not for record-breaking speed, but for his sheer grit. Representing Equatorial Guinea, he had never trained in an Olympic-sized pool and spent only eight months practicing on his own in a small hotel pool.
On September 19, 2000, during the men’s 100m freestyle heats, both of his competitors false-started, leaving him to swim the race alone. He touched the wall at 1:52.72, the slowest time ever recorded in Olympic history, but it was also his personal best and a national record.
My college football averse 15/yo hiding in her room while uncles, aunts, parents, and cousins experiences a broad range of emotions at the end of the @PopTartsUS bowl #BYUFOOTBALL#PopTartsBowl
Believe that there is a particular gift in this season for you. Seek for quiet, solitary moments when you can ponder, pray, and feel the loving-kindness of the One whose birth makes any joy in any life possible.
