Being a good soldier saved me from contacting HIV .
I was posted to Makurdi in benue state where I was exposed to highlife .
I was good to civilians especially in northbank market and they loved me a lot .
One day I meet a beautiful lady after talking to her ,she agreed to pay me a visit towards evening time so we exchange numbers and she left.
I was about going back to my barracks (72sf ) when I noticed a guy was following me behind and he said excuse me small soldier ( that was the name de gave to me )
He said "O soldier you know will like you and we don't want bad thing to come to you , that girl you just finished talking to her name is Doowese and she's HIV positive "
Omoh I made my findings and it was true .
Being a good soldier will make you live long.
President Tinubu will have to choose between former IGP Adamu and the governor’s preferred candidate, Aliyu Wadada.
Both have been loyal party members who stood through thick and thin on the mandate ensured Asiwaju’s 2023 victory. I personally think Governor Abdullahi Sule supports Wadada because he is the only one that gives him “Yahaya Bello and Ododo” vibes.
What then, should be the fate of Nasarawa State’s most preferred candidate, former IGP Adamu?

I lost my brother to epilepsy (farfadiya) in 2021. From the day he was born to the day he died at over 30years old, we believed Aljanu were the main cause of his illness. We tried several medications both local & modern but to no avail. Sometimes, the seizures hit him while he was walking, during prayer at the mosque or even during his sleep. He would go out for mosque and come back bleeding because he fell, hit his head, scratched his body etc but still always insisted on going to the mosque for 5 daily prayers. My mum would try to stop him but he must go to the mosque. He never missed prayer.
On the midnight of 26th March 2021, Hassan went to bed full of smiles after having a good time with my mum & sisters. He had his final seizure that night which ended his life.
I still don’t know if Epilepsy is curable because for over 30 years we couldn’t find the cure for my brother.
NYSC DG Decorates Aide With New Rank Of Lieutenant Colonel
https://t.co/vUF9b6IO1t
The Military Assistant to the Director General of National Youth Service Corps, former Major Shuaibu Mohammad, has been decorated with his new rank of a Lieutenant Colonel.
The decoration was jointly performed by Brigadier General Olakunle Nafiu and the wife of the Military Assistant, Mrs Hauwa Muhammad, at the NYSC National Directorate Headquarters in Maitama, Abuja.
General Nafiu described his Military Assistant as a diligent officer who has lived up to expectations.
While congratulating Lt Col Muhammad on his new rank, the Director General said that promotion comes from God and is also based on hardwork, while it is attached with additional responsibilities.
He urged Lt Col Muhammad to brace up for higher responsibilities and prayed for subsequent promotions to come with ease, greater fun fair and honour.
In his remarks, Lieutenant Colonel Muhammad appreciated the Chief of Army Staff, Lieutenant General Waidi Shaibu for finding him worthy of elevation to the rank of a Lieutenant Colonel.
He said the promotion was a call to greater responsibility, loyalty and dedication to the Nigerian Army and the nation in general.
Muhammad added that it would also encourage him to renew his commitment, discipline, loyalty and dedication to service.
He appreciated the NYSC Director General, Brigadier General Olakunle Nafiu, for his leadership, mentorship, professional direction, encouragement and guidance.
He equally applauded the NYSC Management and Staff for their continued support to him as the Military Assistant to the NYSC Director General.
In his opening remarks, the Acting Director, Special Duties Department, Mr George Mfongang, said the decoration was an evidence of sacrifice, recognition of years of hardwork, discipline and service.
When Maj Gen AE Abubakar was transferred as GOC of 3 Division, Jos, to Maiduguri as the new Theatre Commander, I had serious misgivings about it and shared those concerns with friends. My central question was simple: what was the yardstick for such an appointment and posting? This is an officer who presided over a Plateau State where the killing of civilians had become routine, almost systemic, with little to show in terms of decisive intervention or accountability. He was in charge when Bokkos fell in December 2023 with over 200 people killed across over 20 villages simultaneously despite prior warnings.
Since his assumption of duty in Maiduguri, a disturbing pattern has emerged. Boko Haram, a group widely described in official circles as largely decimated, has grown visibly bolder. Attacks on military formations and facilities across the Northeast have intensified. Senior officers and soldiers are being killed at a frequency and boldness that is unprecedented in recent memory.
What exactly is the problem?
At what point does the Nigerian military establishment begin to hold its commanders to account? How many more soldiers must be buried, how many more civilians must be mourned, before the concept of consequence catches up with demonstrable failure?
This pattern of rewarding or reassigning officers who preside over avoidable tragedies, rather than questioning their command decisions, is not just a military problem. It is a national crisis, and the world is watching.
Incompetence in uniform, when shielded by rank and institutional loyalty, does not stay contained. It bleeds.

Tijjani Gandu is coming of age. The strong media of Kwankwasiyya is putting him in the spotlight. And he is exploring the opportunity perfectly.
He is positioning himself as the political singer of the opposition not only in Kano. And that’s good rivalry for Rarara, who does mostly for the APC.
At the end, this further proves the role of music in the political North.
