@GinnyMcDonald8 @atrupar He thinks he’s like the old gangster in Godfather 2. The one Vito had to shoot. He’s running a protection racket. I bet the construction job sites that get raided didn’t pay their protection fee
@astro_jaz We ran supplies from Tyler, TX to family between Lufkin and Beaumont after Hurricane Rita. We would leave after work and get there after dark. SE Texas was a definite 1. It was unreal
@tlangford@NBCNews Hey there! I'm just old enough to have not gotten the MMR vaccine and my fever got so high with measles that it damaged my developing front teeth. Later at around 13 I had small cavities in my front 4 teeth and they just crumbled. Wore temporary crowns until my 20s
@tlangford When I started teaching in 96 in very rural ETX they were busy laying huge internet cables from the regional ed service centers out to every school. When those came online I'm sure it's how it felt when places first got electricity or TV.
@Martina I remember a cheesy 80s horror movie where to join the evil cult you had to lick a goat's ass. It was a terrible scene in a bad movie. This is much worse
@amy_bresnen It feels like a whole bunch of people have been under a spell like Indy in Temple of Doom and we’re waiting on Short Round to burn them bad enough to snap them out of it
@SaraForTexLege The earliest ancestor I know of was a Sepulvedo born in Nacogdoches in 1824. All our family history was lost when the Spanish and native people were driven out when Lamar became president of Texas. I don’t know if his family were recent immigrants or trace back to Los Adaes
@Nick_TXHSGBB Broadduus boys won state twice in 76, 77 when Terry Teagle was playing. Played at Baylor and then for the Lakers. Imagine a future NBA player in an old 3/4 size gym. When he jumped it looked like he was coming down from the rafters. We thought he was 7ft tall
