The TXST Strutters were the first and are currently the largest precision dance team at a 4-year university. Along with the Bobcat Marching Band, they have been a mainstay tradition at athletic events for more than 6 decades. #txst125

San Marcos was a popular summer vacation destination for decades thanks to the amusement park known as Aquarena Springs, today Texas State University's Meadows Center for Water and the Environment. The glass bottom boats remain a fixture from the old days of the park. #txst125

One library is no longer enough for TXST. In 2005, the Round Rock Campus Library opened in Avery 255 and in September 2017, the Archives and Research Center, a massive preservation library housing more than 600,000 items, opened at Star Park. #txst125 #txst

In June 1990, the spacious Albert B. Alkek Library opened. It took 3 years and 22,000 pieces of travertine marble and pink hill country granite marble to construct the 7-story, nearly 300,000-square-ft building; today serving more than 35,000 students. #txst125 #txst
