Missing Vulnerable Adult
San Marcos Police are asking for the public’s help locating William Thompson, 82, who was last seen near Quail Creek Drive and Mandalay Lane wearing a navy blue shirt, khaki pants, and sandals.
Thompson may also be accompanied by his black pit bull “Peaches”.
William has dementia, and there is concern for his safety.
If you have seen William or know where he may be, please call police immediately.

He’s already completed three successful missions of chattering loudly at strangers. We are thrilled to have this level of dedication on the force.

🚨Statewide Emergency Alert Test - April 2, 2026🚨
On Thursday, April 2, 2026, at the request of the Texas Division of Emergency Management (TDEM), a statewide test of emergency alerting systems will take place between 10:00 AM and 12:30 PM.
Regular testing helps ensure emergency alert systems function properly and allows agencies to evaluate how alerts are delivered during real emergencies.
