It was an intense but beneficial week of learning with Dr Sherrye Dotson.
"Learning outcomes must be aligned with differentiated assessments, in order to achieve a meaningful approach to measure students progress and mastery of the learning outcome".

There are some leaders who really do care, but may not be able to show it. This is when you sit down with your staff and you tell them the good news is I really do care about you, but the bad news is I may not always show it very well. Then make it a priority to work on it.
@WafaaNassar17@ayesh_haneen@DanPardy Wafaa, in addition, test the site experience yourself by logging in with a mindset of a user. Ask close friends who would be honest in their feedback to log in and share their experience with you.
@ayesh_haneen@DanPardy You are right Haneen, that was something I never really imagined web designers considered, until we began our website. Designers must be mindful about the rules for a site, while ensuring the intuitiveness, efficiency and consistency of the site.
@AlshamariJamila@DanPardy Jamila, in order words, the more flexible and friendly an interface is, the more users are able to find what they want, and as such, more users are likely to visit the site and interact with the it.
@Raniazannad_56@DanPardy Like this quote attributed to him "assess your own assessment and grading practices". This is very important. Thank you for sharing Rania!
Today, all groups presented their web design to the entire class. Sitting through the presentation and watching others present was a beautiful experience, but it can definitely cast some doubts in your mind about your own achievements. I think we all did well

Presentations can be nerve wracking. Team support helps to lighten the mood. ( Thanks to my amazing team members Amina, Rania and Abo)
Glad my team and I got through our presentations successfully. Congrats to the other teams who presented. Good one guys!

When creating a website it is important to take into consideration the limitations of the tool you plan to use. Make sure to check the type of HTML available that can help the process of creating the Web pages. This was a hard lesson learnt in my group.

Reviewing our site was an unusual experience. As novice web designers, my team collaborated to build a decent website. In our review for digital fluency, we were quite pleased at the outcome of how easy it is to navigate the site.

@AboNene7@WafaaNassar17@Raniazannad_56@DanPardy Abo, I just shared some tips in response to a tweet from Fatema. Please check my tweet. I think a strategy for educators would be to scaffold learning & keep new knowledge concepts simple to avoid cognitive overload.
@FatemaAlhumaidi@DanPardy Fatema, research shows that the human brain can acquire and use knowledge effectively when instructional techniques are designed to accommodate how human brains learn. Scaffolding learning & keeping new knowledge concepts simple, is a good way to avoid cognitive overload.
@Raniazannad_56@DanPardy Rania, I found this article to be quite helpful in giving insights on methods to incorporate and implement multimedia in the classroom.

In exploring educational web-design methods, my team and I have had to constantly reflect on our design, question ourselves on the "why and the what". This approach helps to guide us to effectively review our procedure in order to achieve our purpose.

Dr. Richard Mayerโs research studies on cognitive overload shows that the human mind can only process a limited amount of information at a given time, especially in relation to multimedia learning. How do you apply this when planning learning content?

@Raniazannad_56@DanPardy Rania, the article is easy to read & like you said, it clearly guides the designer to think of the why? what? and how. It does not only break down the important components of what an ideal website, it also gives examples. It explains what Usability and accessibility looks like.
Ambiguous web pages mislead users. The use of a hierarchy model gives users clarity & a sense of predictability on where to find information. Users are able to transfer their experience of the familiar page to the unfamiliar page.

@AalaaShady@DanPardy Aalaa, online learning provide learners the flexibility to learn virtually from anywhere, without having to be physically on campus. Learners learn at their own pace and speed. They are free from the stress and pressure of working within a classroom.
Mind map in helps designers to virtually organize information and categorize services. It aids the simplicity and the functionality of the site. Users are able to easily identify & recall information. It helps make complex ideas easy to understand & remember.

@Raniazannad_56@DanPardy I think organizations should be most careful when making decisions on how to brand their products online. Truth is, the site is the user's contact point. Therefore, the impression the user leaves with, after visiting the site, is very crucial to how they perceive the product.
