“One of the most disappointing things for me is Mainoo not being involved in this Manchester United team. We saw how good he was 18 months or two years ago, and for some reason it hasn’t quite happened for him.

The manager doesn’t seem to fancy him, but we all know the qualities he has. For some reason the coach prefers somebody else and that’s something he has to deal with.

Van Dijk and Liverpool conceded 41 goals last year in the prem; a league where Chris Wood and Yoane Wissa are some of the top scorers. He didn’t even have to deal with the likes of Rooney, Henry, Bergkamp, Drogba, Andy Cole, etc.
