Ranger went out there and pitched seven scoreless innings. His best start in a while. Mickey Gasper hit his eighth homer of the season in the first and that’s all the Red Sox needed. Boston takes first two of four.

Jedixson Paez gave up eight earned which included 2 homers win his Red Sox debut. The offense tried to come back but it was to little to late. Micky Gasper hit another homer which makes 7 in his last 13 games.

The Red Sox made a few roster moves today. But only one move is reflected in the lineup tonight. Boston has selected the contract for Jedixson Paez who will start tonight.

The also recalled Wyatt Olds, activated IKF, DFA’d Brett Harris. Recalled Eduardo Riviera and placed him on the 60 day IL and placed Tyron Guerrero on the 15 day IL.

Worcester split, Portland and Greenville won their series and Salem fell apart losing all six games.

The Red Sox claw back to tie it in the bottom of the ninth. Then old friend Cooper Criswell blows it in the tenth giving up two walks to load the bases and the winning hit to all players, Trevor Story. Boston takes game One!

Willson Contreas ends up on the 10 day IL with a hamstring string injury. Mickey Gasper is called back up and is in the lineup to play first.

The pitching matchups are all but set. The Red Sox started for game two is TBD as the Mariners starter for game three is the same. Guessing Sonny Gray and Bryce Miller will be put in those spots. If now will update.
