Lindelof understands that we need to move forward! And we're really squandering the opportunity at our feet here, these actors are still young enough to continue these characters' journeys. Don't squander them like we did the original trio. Trust that the audience will come!
#Lost creator Damon Lindelof says his scrapped #StarWars movie would've continued the story of Rey, Finn and Poe, cementing the trio as "the center" of the franchise:
"What we were attempting to do was to have this conversation in the movie, which is to say there is a Force of nostalgia and there is a Force of revision, and they are at odds with one another, and let's do the Protestant Reformation inside 'Star Wars,' and it didn't work."

The 50/60s narrative aesthetic is kind of the point here. Peter wants a car to impress a girl. He has over the fence conversations with MJ. He says things like "gee" and "golly" because Raimi is aping the aesthetics of the time to make it feel more timeless. It achieves this, imo
@3rdcoastgh0st Ive also seen it 2x and the repeat viewing really impressed me, once you know the full story its great to go back and see all the groundwork theyre laying. Amazing movie about faith anf making your own reality.
James Cameron says he’ll hold a press conference to reveal the ending of the ‘AVATAR’ franchise if the 4th & 5th films don’t happen
“I'll tell you what we were gonna do. How's that?”

I will be seeing Avatar: Fire and Ash no less than 3x in the theater. I'm aiming for as many different formats as I can. IMAX 3D, Dolby Cinema 3D, 3D 4DX, and whatever else I may find.
@kierantriplett Best TV show i've seen in a while! Apple is letting Vince engage in some real visual storytelling, insanely refreshing to have something to actually *watch*

Gonna get a brick through my window for saying this, but if you want a true blue fan to make more Star Wars there's probably no one better than Johnson. He gets it folks. TLJ is obviously the product of someone who thought about the movies in greater depth than "Jedi are cool"
Rian Johnson says “it would be the most wonderful thing in the world” to return to Star Wars
“That cog will be turning the rest of my life. I love Star Wars. And if someday it makes sense to come back to it, for both of us, it would be the most wonderful thing in the world”

I'm watching through Twilight and Stephanie Meyer should have worked a Frankenstein in here somehow.
Twilight is vampires
New Moon is werewolves
Eclipse should have a Frankenstein
@ColeTrippyy I started back in like 2022 with TOS, so it's taken some time but I've always wanted to run through Voyager and DS9! Its kind of amazing how intertwined 90s Trek is.
Reached the Voyager portion of my Star Trek Journey, and while I think the show is rocky (usual for the first 3 seasons of Trek from TNG to Voyager) I absolutely love Kate Mulgrew's Janeway so far.
I've been watching by airdate, alternating between DS9 and Voyager. It's fun!
