Every Halloween, Hugh Hefner threw the most famous party in Los Angeles, and while the guests partied downstairs, his girlfriends were living on $1,000 a week in cash and a 9 p.m. curfew.
Holly Madison moved into the Playboy Mansion in 2001, and soon after, Hefner asked her to quit her waitressing job, which she did.
Every Friday morning she got $1,000 in $100 bills, and according to her, he could hold it back whenever he wanted to punish someone. She couldn't work outside the mansion, couldn't have friends over, and had to be back by 9.
About the mansion gate, she later wrote: "I grew to feel it was meant to lock me in."
On Halloween 2008, the guest list included Chris Evans and Neil Patrick Harris, and Hefner spent part of the night sitting in a cage on the dance floor in a red robe and devil horns. Holly and the other girlfriends made a short appearance and then went back upstairs, and later that year she left for good.
At $1,000 a week, her seven years in the mansion come to about $364,000.
In 2016 the mansion sold for $100 million to a Twinkies heir, who let Hefner keep living there for $1 million a year in rent, which means all seven years of her allowance added up to less than five months of his rent.
The case for Holly: she gave up her job, her friends and her nights for seven years of her twenties.
The case for Hefner: nobody forced her to move in, and she walked out famous, with her own TV career.
Was $1,000 a week a fair deal for life at the Playboy Mansion, or the cheapest bargain Hefner ever made?
Is he right, or is this just pure toxic logic?
She tried to shame 40-year-old men for dating younger, but his rebuttal on why women wear makeup completely destroyed her point.

Whatโs the move? Cut the side piece forever and try to rebuild from zero... or leave and forever know you chose the guy who didnโt give a damn about wrecking a home?
Be honest in the comments. I'm listening.
So it begins.
The Pacers organization needs to recruit someone who can build a strong supporting cast around Caitlin Clark while protecting the Fever from poor officiating, league drama, and coaching malpractice.
DOSE OF REALITY: The WNBA has spent the week bragging about Game 1 of the Finals being some ratings juggernaut despite it not breaking into the 10-most watched WNBA games of the season.
How'd Game 2 go? It drew as many people as a 2025 Caitlin Clark preseason game against Brazil. Let that sink in. PRESEASON.
This coach did everything possible to change the system that made Caitlin Clark, Caitlin Clark - that drew millions to womenโs basketball.

She left that interview just like she left her marriage.
She answered the same way she answered in her marriage.
Ladies, with equality comes responsibilities.
Ladies like her can never take instructions from their husbands and you can never satisfy her.

Warren Buffett: โAll those economists with an IQ of 160 who spend their lives studying economics, can you name even one who has become a millionaire investing in the stock market?โ
โIf you review their entire history, they donโt make much money buying and selling stocks, and yet those who buy and sell stocks listen to them. Thatโs something I canโt understand.โ
