@ScotRail No, that’s not right. I’ve taken numerous long journey trains and only shown it once. I take buses often and only show it once etc . Seems excessive on ScotRail!

@ScotRail The fear of loosing the very expensive annual pass by having to keep it at hand throughout the journey seems unreasonable. Trust people to ask ticket seller to purchase a ticket rather than making people feel like fare dodgers by being asked to show ticket numerous times!
