I love outdoors & getting involved. Rarely do I say no to things. I have a great friend & wife & we share many common interests. Life is for doing.

Can we bottle that? Cattle are happy, trees also & if the wind gets up, we might generate some renewable energy.

@xMASKEDxKIWIx @JordNZ @NewshubNationNZ Note that the story was written by a NZ On Air funded journalist. They are likely fearful for their positions if Mr Seymour gains more sway in October.

A town that is having fun with black & white - Augusta WA.

Credit when it's due. A recently painted, older wooden style bridge in our Dipton valley. Thanks SDC contractors for getting it done.

I try to keep an open mind on this topic. Here is a study that deflects some of the criticism other studies have placed on livestock emissions.

This is the Benmore bridge over the Oreti River. Steel beams were added around 30 years ago, the last time any real money has been spent on it. It's been many years since a paint brush has been shown. Unacceptable neglect!

[Allan Baird @AllanSBaird]

Our local bridge is under threat of not been repaired. SDC has failed to invested in maintenance & now wants to shut it. Rural community asset are regularly under threat as councils divert money to cycle trails & tourism infrastructure.

@paulm17051966 A long journey ahead but this has put you back on the grid.

[Allan Baird @AllanSBaird]

Its time to give this idea greater focus. Challenge yourself to think beyond what we have always had. A focus on doing & making our Southern region the envy of New Zealand.
Call for a rethink of Southland's councils https://t.co/80xJQbqbHD

@FishandGameNZ
Are you willing to promote this story too? The water debate is broader than just attaching farmers. https://t.co/6ZGZnsammf

[Allan Baird @AllanSBaird]

@FishandGameNZ I have fished our local river since I was a boy. Was thinking quite seriously about contesting for F&G Council later this year. Thanks for help with name recognition.

[Allan Baird @AllanSBaird]

@paulm17051966 101 of Resourse Management. Know your activity status. Meridian applied for & received a controlled activity status for the Manipouri Power Station. This is a big deal for those who hold dear to river ecology. Hydro very different on Waiau than other schemes.

Get the work done early & then have a day in Invercargill with us. Hear from capable speakers on a range of topics. A coalition minister, deputy chair regional council, scientist & the last word from FF President @ktmilne6.

Southlanders & their swedes, this meeting isn't a joke however. PGGW have been asked to front to a Public Meeting to explain their current response. Many farmers have been severely inconvenienced by the delivery of discredited variety HTS57 instead of the new variety promised.
