I realised I use it as an escape from my physical & mental health challenges and that it helps me to cope better. Lots of people do the same. I'm investigating this in my feature-length documentary. Find out more & support:

I love my photo-a-day. Not necessarily because of the final image but because of the process of engaging in something creative every day that takes me away from any problems I may be experiencing. (1/2)
Many of you have followed my photo-a-day for a number of years. I realised I use it as an escape from my physical & mental health challenges. Lots of people do the same. I'm investigating this in my feature-length documentary. Find out more & support:https://t.co/01m2SzhjvX

Photography is my escape from health challenges. It's a meditation, a grounding. Many people use photography to support mental health. "A Love Letter to Photography" tells personal stories of photogs, knowledge from academics & practitioners. Support now:

Inspiration came while I was in the shower which explains why for the last 20 minutes I have been working on my laptop on my bed, dressed in only a wet towel 🤣
Much of my preparation for a shoot just involves thinking. Thinking about what I want the story to be (so questions to ask), what I want the film to look like (so things to shoot). Then when I have thought sufficiently, writing it down.
I am excited to share that my film "Telekinetic Tapestries at Beakerhead" created in collaboration with @dion_kelly_ of @PossNeuro and @Beakerhead is featured on the @creativemorning blog post as part of the march theme of Perspective #CMPerspective

I just watched a little of my footage back from this afternoon and honestly it gave me chills, and I am not talking about bc I was doing this interview outside in the snow. It’s an amazing feeling that you know you have captured something so powerful and emotive.
At @Beakerhead with @dion_kelly_ I created a film about the ThinkSwitchTM that allows users to control devices with their thoughts. The touching & hopeful film explores the value of this from one family’s perspective & demonstrates the tech in action.
