5/ The reason is because — even if you don't have property in scope (e.g., product is too new to have unclaimed funds) you generally need to file "negative" reports with a handful of states to say you have "zero."
@mikulaja How many of these wallets are compliant with Escheatment laws? I’d say that’s going to be the first area of impact. I bet I have <$10 sitting in each of various fintech wallets launched in the last decade.
