Secretary-General of ASEAN, Dr. Kao Kim Hourn, today met with The Right Honourable Douglas Alexander MP, Minister of State for Trade Policy and Economic Security, Department for Business and Trade, United Kingdom, on the margins of the 56th AEM Meeting and Related Meetings in Vientiane, Lao PDR.
They discussed ways to strengthen economic ties and enhance trade and investment between ASEAN and the UK. They also discussed the need for ASEAN and the UK to work closely together to explore new areas of collaboration, particularly in new emerging areas such as sustainable development, the green economy, and the digital economy.
