Great to read about California bill for restaurants to disclose allergen information, spear headed by @SenatorMenjivar.
The @Independent mentioned high costs for restaurants, but https://t.co/K56SUXJhDI provides a solution for only $20 a month.

It’s truly heartbreaking to hear about situations like this.
Another avoidable tradgedy, if only governments legislated for clearer communications of allergies.

@FoodAllergyAW@BBC@_JackFowler_@FSAIinfo I totally agree, the system we have developed has had some upgrades made to assist with cruise ships. I wish more of them actioned the solution than sticking their heads in the sand.
Shocking to see the @bbc article on @_JackFowler_ and the airlines response to #allergens. The @FSAIinfo wants to legislate more on this, lets hope the next goverment will priorities #allergy

@grilla100@hannahfearn I don't think people are expecting vacuumed sealed environments when they eat out. More just not feeding them the ingredients that kill them. My experience has never been about cross contamination, it's always been poor communication to the consumer.
@hannahfearn @fiacloir1 These stories are shocking I'm hoping the @FSAIinfo can help to ensure that restaurant comply with the legislation properly and hopefully go further in getting them to understand how they can improve and solve these issues.
@angilou_72@foodgov They would be breaking the UK food regulations to not have information on the key 14 allergens, so their FSA rating would reflect this.
The launch of the UK Anaphylaxis Registry and its importance for UK consumers” has just been published on the Food Standards Agency blog.

@NatashasLegacy@sajidjavid I think the FSA need the backup of government to help them make the changes that are needed. There needed to be a large change in understanding and the @foodgov are there to be able to push it, if supported.
