three‑year funding agreement with Commissioner Pete O'Doherty. This landmark agreement secures the funding that enables us to continue the great work that the unit does, and deliver even greater protection for intellectual property rights over the coming years.

Following our confirmation of three year funding for @CityPolicePIPCU, our Enforcement team and CEO Adam Williams met to sign the 2026-27 Service Agreement.
It was great to meet with @AllianceIP and Sky as we develop public and private partnerships to tackle IP crime effectively.

Pleased that Ministers have listened, done the right thing, and taken the proposed opt out off the table. It is also positive that copyright reform more broadly is not one of the four focus areas the Government says it is taking forward in its statement.

The @APPGforIP has launched an inquiry into IP enforcement as the UK prepares to renew its Counter-Infringement Strategy.

We’re seeking evidence on:
1. What’s working in our current enforcement landscape
2. Where the biggest gaps remain
3. How we can strengthen national and international cooperation

Submit written evidence by the end of March to help shape the future of IP enforcement.
