Every rapist, murderer, and predator in existence has "mental health" issues by the standards of a normal person. They're all sick in the head. They all have "intrusive thoughts." And a huge number of them have FAR more serious sob stories than Lindsay Clancy. Most of the worst people in the world, who do the most depraved and horrible things, were mistreated as children, subjected to all kinds of horrific abuse, etc. Pick any serial killer at random and you'll very likely find that they had been victimized, mistreated, even tortured for years before they committed their first crime. Many of them can claim they were "abandoned by the system" much more convincingly than Lindsay Clancy can make that claim. And yet we all agree, in almost all of these other cases, that these sadistic predators -- in spite of their significant "mental health" challenges and whatever terrible things were done to them -- must still be held fully accountable for their crimes. Lindsay Clancy cannot make an "insanity" argument that wouldn't also apply to all of the worst, most barbaric freaks in history. To carve out some kind of special ad hoc exception in her case would be not just unjust but totally incoherent.

Previous generations drank, ate badly, slept rough, and still recovered because constant low-level stress kept their systems adaptable.

Two glasses of wine registered as a catastrophic shock because he's spent three years stripping every form of variance from his life. A body that can only perform under perfect conditions is the definition of a fragile system.

EXCLUSIVE: Canada Pauses Deportation of Trucker Jaskirat Sidhu, Who Killed 16 and Injured 13
Chris Joseph, father of Jaxon Joseph, whose life was lost along with 15 others in the Humboldt Broncos tragedy, says he will not stop his quest for justice and his fight to have the man responsible for the tragedy deported back to India, which was part of his sentence.

“I honestly do feel like my son Jaxon would be right behind me saying, ‘Go get him, Dad,’” Joseph says, promising he will not stop until Jaskirat Sidhu is deported, after a federal court paused the deportation at the eleventh hour, when Sidhu was scheduled to be deported the next business day.

“Being deported back to India, although not anybody’s favourite choice, is not a death sentence,” Joseph, the former NHL hockey player, says. “What we have is a death sentence,” he adds, pointing out that the last time he ran his fingers through his son’s hair was in a morgue.

Joseph says Sidhu was ordered deported by everyone: the judge, the Immigration and Refugee Board, the Court of Appeal, and the CBSA, yet he is still fighting on humanitarian grounds to avoid being separated from his family in Canada.

“His family can go to India with him. If my wife or I were deported, we’d be at each other’s side,” Joseph says, adding that forgiveness is irrelevant. “Deportation was part of his sentence. Forgiveness doesn’t mean he gets to be more special than any other criminal,” he says, emphasizing that people are deported every day for much less.

✈️ This pilot flat-out refused to take off… even though the crew had already cleared the plane for departure.

He had a bad gut feeling — oil pressure on engine #2 was trending up and the fuel system filter still needed replacing. He told the passengers straight up:

“They told us the plane is good to go, but I’m not really feeling it. I’m not going to leave the ground if I’m not completely certain that we have an airworthy aircraft. So I’m refusing the aircraft. I feel a lot more comfortable making this call than flying six hours over the water and maybe having an issue.”

He apologized for the delay, then had everyone deplane so maintenance could fix it properly.

In a world that’s always rushing, this pilot chose safety over schedule and put every single life on that plane first ❤️

I would you rather have a pilot who listens to his gut like this than one who just sticks to the schedule no matter what... how about you?
