Highway code H2: “At a junction you should give way pedestrians crossing or waiting to cross a road into which or from which you are turning.”
From January 2022 pedestrians waiting to cross should be given priority
@VOGCouncil Can we see some enforcement & comms with schools??
Shame on Bus 87 @cardiffbus Ignored Highway code H2 at Albert Road during school drop off times: went right past two families at crossing, as cars waited. Pedestrians have the right of way! @albertrdsoap@AlbertPrimary 1/2...
@BBCRadio4#bbcsaturdaylive i just heard @RevRichardColes ask the guest Susan: do you have faith in sound? ... Misheard, as it happens, but Rev., do you?
Thank you #HeathHospital @UHWCriticalCare, #Pediatrics
what a great #nhs team you are. Thanks Dr. Helen & Amber & Dr Nora & all the team whose names we missed!
@HandsOffOurNHS
@Sam_Womack Wearing a fab oversize pair of muji trousers, and thinking of you again today. You really made me smile that day we were shopping alongside one another! Sending you all best wishes and healthy vibes ... Odd though it sounds, I will be here if you ever need an ear or shoulder.
@BBCPM@EvanHD maybe reconsider use of 'kool-aid drinking' as a fey joke line. 909 people died in Guyana, and it was not blindly following. It was under gunpoint and duress.
#VC UWE Finally after 25 years at UWE my Podiatry skills could be used. I’m so glad I’m still registered and kept up with my CPD. Colleague damaged her toe nail! 🤣
Thought: acronyms strip meaning from what are important titles, reducing them to meaningless nicknames. This allows us to avoid the real power of intention in these phrases. (Eg: EDI, BAME).
Share this with your daughters and with your sons. Awesome @LydiaKo! Video cuts off just before she said to interviewer "Honesty, it is", cause, you know, it's just menstruation!

"It's that time of the month. I know the ladies watching are probably like, 'Yeah, I got you.'"
Lydia Ko kept it real in her post-round interview after the @PV_Champ 😂🙌
@wiardsterk @claudiahammond Agree, and 'giving way' can go both ways
Your point is important that before rules and yellow lines and railings, people interacted and looked at one another. In some ways rules have allowed us to act with painful self priority....
#LanguageMatters when talking mobility if we say 'giving way' or 'allowing' pedestrians to cross, it implies a hierarchy of right to the road
and undermines the reality that we all have the right to use streets and roads
@claudiahammond lets talk!
It is worth taking this moment to reflect; in a time of remote life and remote actions, how the smallest everyday spaces might provide respect to individuality, privacy, difference and equity. 3/3
R.I.P. Christopher Alexander. With his colleagues at the Center for Environmental Studies at #UCBerkeley he influenced generations to think about the beauty and value of the #Everyday and #eyelevel in design. Thank you . . . . 1/3
I found the tome #PatternLanguage accidentally, looking for another book in the library... and sat mesmerised on the floor for at least an hour, fi ally finding someone who felt that the seemingly banal is also worthy of celebration. . . . 2/3
