@erinomarakunz We spent a few days in Idaho Springs and loved checking out the Mount Blue Sky Scenic Byway, Guanella Pass, and St Mary's Glacier! Got to see pikas, marmots, and mountain goats plus amazing views. You can hike as much as you feel comfortable with and still see a lot by car.
