I read a bit of Du Bois in high school, and again in my late 30s. Between those periods I earned two degrees in International Relations. Neither degree included any of his writing, which speaks to the biases of the field.
W.E.B. Du Bois is a major International Relations theorist, and his writings should be standard reading for international relations students.
If you're reading Morgenthau (or Waltz or etc), you need to also read Du Bois.

The statue of Mary McLeod Bethune makes me remember when my late uncle Junior always argued that MMB is the most important person in Black History.
While that is a matter of opinion, if we REALLY knew MMB, we'd see how compelling his argument was.
