On this Holocaust Remembrance Day, we remember the precious lives we lost and honor those who survived to bear witness. We must all give anti-Semitism and hate no safe harbor and ensure the atrocities of the Holocaust never occur again.
what happened yesterday in Atlanta was brutal, tragic & is certainly not an isolated incident by any means. AAPI hate has been rampantly perpetuated & it’s disgusting! I’m heartbroken for the Asian community & my heart is with the loved ones of those we lost. The hate must stop.
NEW @AAPIData
Anti-Asian Hate is FAR MORE widespread than previous estimates suggest
Upwards of 2 MILLION #AsianAmerican adults have experienced a hate crime, discrimination, or harassment since the onset of #COVID19

Here’s the deal: Wall Street didn’t build this country — the great American middle class did. It’s time we rebuild the middle class and bring everyone along regardless of race, gender, religion, ethnicity, sexual orientation, or disability.
I can’t believe I have to say this, but giant corporations shouldn’t pay less in taxes than a teacher or a firefighter.
We’re going to change that – and ensure corporations finally pay their fair share with the Made in America Tax Plan.
This is heartbreaking. There is too much pain and violence in our City right now. Whether against Jews or Asians or anyone, we need to stand up together to stop the hate that's afflicting our city. #nomorehate
my sister’s 6th grade social studies class took a quiz today and......... this is ridiculous.. harmful rhetoric in our education system is exactly why anti-asian hate crimes and racism persist today @CFBISD@BlalackMS do better
Harvard counseling and mental health resources "Anti-Asian Racism Resources" page starting off strong with "You may wish that you weren't Asian, but remember that your ancestors likely went through similar or even worse incidents..."
In 2020, #UMD granted staff leave to observe Juneteenth, a day commemorating the end of slavery in the US. To continue this important tradition, @Univ_System_MD Chancellor @JayPerman announced Juneteenth will be designated a holiday across USM institutions https://t.co/GPAiKP3Sg7
On this National Day of Action and Healing, my Administration stands united with the Asian American community in the face of rising violence. Hate can have no safe harbor in America. It must stop — and it’s on all of us together to make it stop.
I urge Congress to pass the For the People Act and the John Lewis Voting Rights Advancement Act. We need to make it easier for all eligible Americans to access the ballot box and prevent attacks on the sacred right to vote.
We can’t be silent in the face of rising violence against Asian Americans. That’s why today I’m taking additional steps to respond–including establishing an initiative at the Department of Justice to address anti-Asian crimes.
These attacks are wrong, un-American, and must stop.
Exclusive: @POTUS announcing new actions to combat violence against Asian Americans, including establishing a new DOJ initiative, allocating $49.5M for survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault, and creating a new COVID-19 task force to end xenophobia.
I’m proud to announce that three weeks from today, 90% of adults will be eligible to get vaccinated — and 90% of Americans will live within 5 miles of a place to get a shot.
#BREAKING: Governors from 26 states and territories issued a joint statement addressing and condemning the rise in anti-Asian hate. They write, "We must do more to protect, lift up, and support the Asian American community."
