🎉🎂Happy Birthday to the Healing Hands of Joy center in Bahir Dar! In spring 2015, we opened the doors of our second training and rehabilitation center in Ethiopia, and on June 7th we celebrated the graduation of our very first round of SMAs from the Amhara region.

While Co-producing A Walk to Beautiful, Allison Shigo realized that women who suffered from obstetric fistula need rehabilitation and she founded Healing Hands of Joy in 2010. More than 1700 fistula survivors have been trained to become Safe Motherhood Ambassadors.
