I love that in #mindovermedia they talk about the propaganda of the literary canon. By controlling the literature read in class and assigning 'classics' we are indoctrinating students with propaganda!

The #mindovermedia readings talked about the importance of sentence framing and the use of the verb in persuasion. I think this is great information for English teachers to have to create persuasive writers

My favorite lesson plan that I saw in the book was centered around having students select propoganda to critically review. I think that this is super important because it builds literacy skills outside the classroom

For the Mind Over Media readings, I loved the idea of teaching students about the digital footprint that you create on social media. I think that this would help build their critical literacy skills.
