@nanobrumberg It helps that the boxes of food have the french names on them, which is great for vocab. However I had never actually said avoine out loud before....and it came out as avion XD
Interested in Sherbrooke but nervous about the French? I have been at UdeS for 2.5 years, and while I did mix up airplane (avion) and oatmeal (avoine) today, I also taught a class, welcomed an intern and chatted with colleagues in the language . If I can do it, so can you: DM me!
One week left to apply to the faculty position in the Chemistry Department at Université de Sherbrooke! We are looking for a new colleague to add to our team. https://t.co/zMAUMdP1Wb

Can't mention great colleagues without citing my sources: @JeromeClaverie1@CYL_Lab@MacGillivrayRG, @ebiosensors and the many less twitter-inclined profs who make this a wonderful place to work (and who celebrate grant results with 'poutine au chocolat')
Université de Sherbrooke chemistry is hiring a tenure track professor. Great colleagues, great students and a great town: what more could you want? @chemjobber@chemfacultyCDN#facultychemjobs#chemjobscanada

Think this opportunity sounds really cool, but don't speak any French? Don't worry, I didn't either! Sherbrooke is willing to help with the francisation (yes that is a word here) process. I am happy to answer any questions concerning this (or anything else)
@Vero_Augustyn If you can get to Boston there is a bus to New London (Dartmouth Coach) and then I can get you to Colby Sawyer. Good luck! (Also Noah just gave an awesome talk!)
Materials research is strong in Quebec and at Sherbrooke! Congrats to Pierre-Luc and Julie for being selected as the best presentation in their respective divisions at the @CQMF_QCAM meeting!
