The poor character of many of the Christian Nationalists made this disastrous outcome unavoidable for them.
But I still prayed for it, and I praise God for what he is doing in exposing these men.
God, please bring the Democratic Party to an immediate end.
Please give us leaders who are wise and God-fearing men.
Please give me 1000 men willing to publicly pray for the same.
"Despite our constant talk about the lordship of Christ, we have narrowed its scope to a very small area of reality... The lordship of Christ over the whole of life means that there are no platonic areas in Christianity..." -Francis Schaeffer
I agree with what Dustin Benge includes.
But what does he omit?
He does not say anything about ordinary Christians publicly speaking up about the direction that our society should be going.
He does not say anything about rallying people behind a movement that will aim to make the world a more just place.
âMake disciplesâ and âlove your neighborâ do encompass those things.
But does Dustin Benge know it?
One friend commented: The subliminal message is âbe passive.â
Another friend captured it well:
âThis is what you would say if being a pastor was the chief end of man.â
But being a pastor is not the chief end of man.
Manâs purposes on earth include living and seeking to thrive.
Manâs purposes on earth include not only âgiving justice to the weak,â but also seeking to reform the society and the government.
That is one way a man should love his neighbors.
(Here, âmanâ means human beings. I am making a claim about what it means to be a human being in general.)
Contrary to some pietist rhetoric that I see from the people opposing the Christian Nationalists, good men often often do seek power.
Wanting justice means wanting to wield powerâor wanting some other just-minded person to wield it on behalf of us all, as the case might be.
A just man seeks after justice. And he seeks after those things necessary in order for justice to be achieved.
It follows that even some *Christian* men (qua men) should certainly seek powerâeven political power.
Christian men should not seek political power qua the organized church, but qua men.
(Political power is not the job of the organized church; it may be the job of specific Christian men.)
Many pastors act as though they were under the impression that anything outside of their job as a pastor or outside of the job of their organized local church is also outside of the job of Christian men.
Not so.
On this topic, the Christian Nationalists tend to be close to the truth.
Pastors need to know their lane.
When pastors do addresss political topics, they have a huge responsibility to get it right.
The pastorâs lane is to equip the Christians for lives that please Godâand in some cases this kind of life will include gaining power and using it well.
Does a pastor have anything to say about that?
He should.
The weakness of pastors on this topic helps explain why the dissident right is making inroads into conservative churches.
Men are aware that part of the truth about manhood is missing from most churches.
They are looking for that truth.
They will follow whoever best appears to have it.
"I was just following orders!" or "Everyone else thought this was right!" are words of excuse that will never escape the lips of a principled man who rationally evaluates ideas as an individualist.
A poll found that 67% of pastors have struggled with porn at some point, and 18% are currently looking at it. This is not a "little problem," nor does God treat it as a light thing.
Now these things took place as examples for us, that we might not desire evil as they did. Do not be idolaters as some of them were; as it is written, âThe people sat down to eat and drink and rose up to play.â We must not indulge in sexual immorality as some of them did, and twenty-three thousand fell in a single day. We must not put Christ to the test, as some of them did and were destroyed by serpents, nor grumble, as some of them did and were destroyed by the Destroyer.
-1 Corinthians 10:6-10
Contra what many false teachers (and SBC presidents like JD Greear and Ed Litton) claim, the Bible does not âwhisper about sexual sin.â It treats it as one of the most important topics a man can learn about.
Most churches today are totally ineffective at the task of speaking prophetically to our culture about matters of righteousness and judgment.
The reason is that most men in churches today are distracted and weakened by sexual sin.
There is a cause and effect connection.
All it will take for God to start blessing us in our war against evil is for us to actually want to war against evil.
God, please let Joel Webbon and his associates reveal their evil hearts in a way that will permanently sink their influence in the world and in churches.
Everyone wants to talk about "freedom in Christ to make different choices." But would we frame a discussion about physically p0is0ning a child the same way? Can it be argued that toxic spiritual p0is0ning is somehow a lesser crime?
This is some perspective to keep in mind as you encounter Christian friends and family members who might challenge your schooling choices or who might not be aware of how the world works and how it could affect their own kids.
Yes. I've seen those correcting false teachings in the church be treated as the "divisive" ones. I've never understood that. Unite around truthâor nothing.
In the New Testament, when someone is condemned as âdivisive,â this term always applies to doctrinal deviants; not to the defenders of true doctrine. Division should be blamed on those who bring in a false claim, not those who correct it.

God, please let the âChristianâ conspiracy theorist grifters reveal their evil hearts in a way that permanently sinks their influence in the world.

Q: We are losing the culture war to those who want only to steal, kill, and destroy. What countereffort do you propose?
A: Intellectual activism is the main response.
Educate the nation.
It will take many years.
We have no guarantee of success. But if we do not succeed in the mission to educate the nation about basic moral principles, such as the rule of law, limited government, and the absolute right of the individual to his own life and his own property, then the coming generationsâ only options will be to live as slaves, to flee to a different part of the world, or to be caught up in a new civil war.
There is no way to defeat a totalitarian American military outright, and it would be a disaster to attempt it. Also, a coup or a political victory is impossible while the voters and citizens are morally unclean.
The most important broad goal right now should be the formation of a future generation capable of persuading the nation of the need for individual rights and the impropriety of the current state of affairs.
The nation must be persuaded that public education (especially the public universities) should be abolished. It is immoral to force a person to pay for his own children to be taught to reject his values, which is the main goal of the public schools and especially the universities.
The intellectual life of the nation springs from the schools and universities and also from the churches, and after that from its media and entertainment. The centers of intellectual life are the heart of our enemyâs power. We must deprive them of these. We must peacefully do what it takes to abolish the educational system.
Turning to the most immediate goals:
Expose the corrupt leaders that the good guys are voluntarily financing, such as the pinks leading the seminaries and churches.
Boot the pinks out of the churches in order to assure that churches survive.
Teach people how to talk about the need for better ideas. Do this by creating your own publishing platform or organization. Or support those platforms and organizations that you agree with and that you like and trust.
Plan for a long battle. Our generation might not live to see major societal reform. But we may help equip the generation that does.
When "Just preach Jesus" becomes code for "Hide from the issues of your day, refuse to take a moral stand, and avoid confronting the sinful ideas circulating even in our churches."
