TVK President Thiru Vijay has requested the Indian National Congress' (INC) support to form a government in Tamil Nadu.

The INC is clear that the mandate in Tamil Nadu is for a secular government, committed to protecting the Constitution in letter and spirit.

The INC is determined not to allow the BJP and its proxies to run the government of Tamil Nadu in any manner. Thiru Vijay has also spoken about drawing inspiration from Perunthalaivar Kamaraj.

देश में LPG और तेल की जो स्थिति है, वो अभी शुरुआत है। इस बारे में मैं सदन में बोलना चाहता था, लेकिन कोई नई प्रक्रिया शुरू हुई है। इसमें मंत्री पहले तय करेंगे, फिर मैं बोलूंगा और फिर मंत्री उस पर जवाब देंगे।

The main thing is that gas is going to be a problem, petrol is going to be a problem. All fuel is going to be a problem because, essentially, our energy security has been compromised.

This is a much bigger issue than whether Iran allows us to get fuel or not. We are going into an unstable time. When you go into an unstable time, you have to change your mindset. You cannot have the same mindset. So what I am suggesting to the government is that they start thinking deeply about the possibilities and what we have to do to make sure that people do not suffer.

I am not making any political statement. I am just saying that I can see a big problem ahead.

There is a central problem here: the PM is not able to function as the Prime Minister of India. There is a reason for it - he is trapped.

But he still needs to make sure that the people of India are protected and that our energy security is protected.
