Colonialism keeps Indigenous and Migrant youth apart through narratives of scarcity. In reality, many migrants and Indigenous peoples share experiences of colonization and Westernization. These experiences can create avenues for allyship. Join us at https://t.co/Vkn9QnUrYo
We know we've been MIA, but we've spent the past 6 months working on something special. We're finally ready to share it with you, and we hope you'll share it with your friends, colleagues, and family.
Our CommunALLY Gathering will bring together Refugee, Immigrant, Newcomer, First Nations, Métis, and Inuit youth to explore allyship through arts and dialogue. We co-designed this event with the help of @4rsYouth and @NewStudentsCA. Learn more: https://t.co/Vkn9QnUrYo
To honour those who sacrificed their future for ours requires more than a day.
It requires us:
- to never allow the values of Nazis to become Canadian values
- to welcome refugees
- to support veterans struggling with their mental health & homelessness

We encourage you to read the 94 calls to action from the Truth and Reconciliation Commission. We’re #CancellingCanadaDay to prioritize grieving, safety, healing, joy, and justice for Indigenous Peoples of Turtle Island.
We invested thought in creating a Solidarity Commitment that is clear, action-focused, and guided by the Truth and Reconciliation Commission's Calls to Actions. In the next few weeks, we'll be sharing our commitment in hopes that other organizations move towards active actions
We’re back and we’ve missed you! Over the last month, our team has been working hard to plan for the rest of the year. We’re looking forward to the rest of the year and we hope you are just as excited as we are! Here’s what we have in store…
White supremacy is the culprit. We must act in solidarity with Muslims, Indigenous peoples, BIPOC communities, migrants, 2SLGBTQ+ people and all others who are harmed by oppression. Justice for one group requires justice for ALL!
The first call I received after the horrific news was from a Jewish friend. He was almost in tears. Whether it is Islamophobia, anti-Semitism, anti-Indigenous, anti-Asian, or anti-Black racism, etc, the poison is the same.
Our response must be to come together & overcome with ❤️.
I don’t want to hear anyone use the word “shocked.” If you’re shocked, you’re wilfully ignorant to the white supremacy that seeps through this country. You have the privilege of “shock.”
Non-Indigenous? Unsure how to help?

Ally Squared is taking a break. Our team has worked tirelessly since our launch in February 2020 to create content, train organizations, lead projects, and build community. Now we're taking a break to relax, refresh, and plan the rest of the year.
What this means for you:
- We'll take longer to respond to emails
- You won't see new posts from us on social media
- We won 't be booking new EIAT sessions
