We have some HUGE news for south Arkansas!
As many of you know, Climavision installed a radar at Dermott in 2023.
Arkansas Weather Network has secured access to this radar, and the early data results are stunning!
For years tornadoes have been able to track through this area of the state almost undetected from the radar in Little Rock.
The worst example of this was in January 2023 in Ashley and Chicot counties when an EF2 tornado was on the ground for 42 MILES with no evidence from radars in Little Rock or Jackson.
That is now a problem of the past!
More radar coverage means more lives saved. The coverage of this radar extends as far north as Jefferson county and DeWitt and as far west as Fordyce, Hampton, and El Dorado.
This radar data will be featured anytime storms move into this area of the state.
I've been testing it out the past few weeks. This radar data will give us a real picture at what happens at the ground in southeast Arkansas!
The goal at Arkansas Weather Network will always be to invest in products that benefit the state, and this radar in southeast Arkansas is a big start.
Thank you for your trust and support!
It is amazing that @CaitlinClark22 who has brought so much publicity for the @WNBA has to take so much abuse from many of those that she has helped financially since her arrival .The physical pounding she takes is totally UNACCEPTABLE! https://t.co/PdJO1xl773

It's an absolute shame that the game to go to the championship series is played 30 minutes apart from each other.
For softball to put the BEST product on the field with a stadium at MAX CAPACITY, these games should be on separate days.
These student athletes deserve better.
