@EllieJayWrites Yes, that seems easier there. Since here it is more and more designed as a platform for independend, yet highly professional journalism and not so much for (personal) community building. I think we even kind of disturb the goal of the platform. It's becoming something different.

I keep trying it, because various friends who have left this place recommend it to me.

But it is so dead. No one comments on anything or talks to anyone. Even when I try interacting.

@EllieJayWrites I think, after a while, you could find there, what you are looking for.
Also I have not seen much "professional" (money-gaining) stuff there. I think follower-numbers or so also are not that much a theme there. So less fake-info-posts to gain engagement. Less sellers of beauty.

@EllieJayWrites Yes, check it out, very nice communities imho, ordered after specific interests, like reading, architecture so on. But needs work of course. But very friendly, open and nice. If you have a bit of time - try it! It's not prominent though, nobody talks about it. Pity.

@welt And yet, I even haven't started talking about the discrimination of Russians living in the Ukraine since the russian territory has been gifted to Ukraine during USSR regime, when it did not matter at all and was symbolic.
Justice must be served. Western decency must come back!

@welt In 1989 after the collapse of the USSR the powers negotiated. NATO promised verbally to not extent their forces any further. Russians wanted it written, West denied. Gorbatchov finally trusted their word.
