When you pay your workers what they deserve and show them respect, you’ll seldom have to deal with a “labor shortage”.

[Ally @AllysenTheSmith]

@JBlowez @GovWhitmer Would know that correlation is not causation. Public schools generally don’t teach richer students, who go to private schools or charter schools, and tend to vote republican. If we have more liberal graduates, a significant reason for this is that we have more liberal enrollees.

[Ally @AllysenTheSmith]

@JBlowez @GovWhitmer Also I’ve heard that claim before, and I’ve yet to see any statistical evidence that students graduating from public schools are at some point becoming more liberal than they were as, babies, I guess. Even if this evidence were to come out, anyone who passed their stats class 1/2

[Ally @AllysenTheSmith]

@FiveDixon @GovWhitmer And that’s not to say that parent concerns shouldn’t matter, but they should not take priority over what professionals know is best, which is something that has already become a huge issue in the past years. This will only exacerbate it further.

[Ally @AllysenTheSmith]

@FiveDixon @GovWhitmer For sure, they do. And you know who knows better than anyone who isn’t pulling their weight? The other teachers, working along side them. It’s illogical to say that someone who comes in a few times a year should be handed any decision making power.

[Ally @AllysenTheSmith]

@GovWhitmer Parents are supposed to love and raise their kids. Educators educate them. It’s really not complicated.

[Ally @AllysenTheSmith]

@GovWhitmer This is a terrible plan. Why should a parent have more say about what happens in a classroom than my mother with a masters degree in education and 30 years of in-classroom experience?? Educators are trusted in the classroom because they know what they’re doing. Let them do it.

So... ummm... has anyone stated the obvious? They are increasing funding for military & policing to pounce on the inevitable social ramifications of the forced decline in quality of life from the institutional neglect & genocidal policies.
