We introduced SCR's, and we first started with the SCR match. We played it like Marco Polo.. I have a question... I have an answer. Then, today, they only got the questions, and they had to restate the answer. #Parkviewproud

One of my fabulous RLA teammates ,Kristina,talked about how she would tell her kids that they needed to read like they eat pizza... one bite at a time. So, last year, I bought gummy pizza, and it stuck with the kids.
So,tomorrow, we have our pizza talk along with gummy pizza.

Taking a simple sentence:
She is at the dentist.
Making it an expanded sentence:
Dora blubbered into Cavity dentist office because she had 13 cavities.
Or
Dora meandered into Cavity Cast dentist office because she didn't want the dentist to see her 13 cavities.

I love doing this activity with my 4th graders. I read the book yesterday,and they picked their one word today. The word represent them and what they want to accomplish this year.
