@GTWTW_Now No equality is a human right. But have you ever gone to a foreign country office and asked for a translator while you are speaking the language?
@GTWTW_Now If it werenβt for politicizing, Amharic alone might have been sufficient. π The language issue is far more costly in education than in the service sector, mainly due to the expenses of publishing books and training teachers. Still, πͺπΉ has made progress in Language in Education.
@GTWTW_Now If we avoid politicizing the issue, we could even include more languages. The real problem in Ethiopia is that languages are often seen as symbols of prestige rather than as tools for communication. South Africa, for example, has 12 official languages. Why not πͺπΉ?
