CORRECT ME IF I'M WRONG BUT, As I turn 43 this year, I have realised, as a man, no one cares about you. Not your wife. Not your family. Not your friends. Not your workmates. Nobody. People act like they care, but deep down, they don't. You are on your own. Always on your own.
Always remember if you are a man in times of disaster know one will be there you are always in survival mode people will look to what you can do for them before offering what they can do for you.
Rescuing someone who continues to make poor choices is not called love. It's called enabling. Stop enabling and refuse to be a safety net, so they can grow up.
I realized that a partner is never made during the good times. Theres not a person alive that wont be with you when times are going well. Your partner is who’s there when everything has gone wrong.
Some of us give all year, the rides, the tabs, the gifts, the effort.
Then our birthday or Christmas comes and we get the bare minimum.
Not because we’re forgotten… but because most people only reciprocate when it’s convenient.
